LINK BUILDING: 6 TECHNIQUES THAT WORK

Since the beginning of SEO, the factors that search engines use to determine which page is placed over another are changing. Techniques have come and gone, but one thing remains constant: links are still as valuable and relevant as never before.

In fact, I'd like to say that building links is the most important factor in determining which site ranks above another. While Google does not say exactly that link building is the "most important" factor, they have announced that this is one of the top three factors.

The problem with link building is that search engines constantly try to refine the criteria of how you rate links in an attempt to combat spam and misuse of their search results. A linkbuilding technique that worked in 2015 may not work in 2019.

Here are six link building techniques that will work in 2019 and will be as effective for the foreseeable future:

TECHNIQUE NO. 1: REASSEMBLY AND DISTRIBUTION OF CONTENT

An evergreen link-building method that will work in 2019 and be effective for the foreseeable future is to reuse your content. A single content can be converted into a dozen or more different content.

For example, a blog post can be used to create a slideshow, a video, a podcast, a social picture, an infographic, and so on. The various contents of the original blog post are then distributed across different channels (e.g., infographics, directories, slide sharing pages, video pages, social networks, etc.) and all with links pointing to the original content.

TECHNIQUE NO. 2: DEFECTIVE LINKBUILDING

Broken links are bad because they disrupt the user experience. Users do not like them. Search engines do not like them either. However, they offer a chance for you and will be effective for many years to come.

There are smart broken link building and stupid broken link building. If you use the intelligent approach to link building, you find that every broken link you find on a website provides more than a link.

For example, suppose you discover a website linked to a broken link. Not only can you go to the website to inform the owner and suggest the replacement with your link, but you can also take things to the next level by using tools like Ahrefs Site Explorer to find other sites, that point to the damaged page. You can then access all of these websites, increasing your chances of getting a link.

TECHNIQUE NO. 3: CREATING RESEARCH CONTENT, ASSETS AND OUTREACH COMBINATIONS

Search engines emphasize the usability of content to their users and make it clear that this is one of the factors that determine which websites should be better rated. How do you create usable content that serves as a linkable asset? By creating a research object.

Your research content may be in the form of a list article or an infographic. However, combining them will give you even better results.

Here are some tips for creating research resources that users want to connect to:

  • Identify a topic of interest that is relevant to what your audience expects of you.
  • Make sure a single research article focuses on a single topic - do not try to create research content that focuses on everything under the sun.
  • Make sure that every study and data that you cite are properly secured.
  • Because you're creating a linkable asset, usability is a must. Organize your data and facts in a way that can be easily quoted, copied and referenced.

After you've created your research article, you can boost the link building process by getting in touch with relevant publications and blogs in your niche. Once you get the first links, people will naturally link to your research content over time. To maintain momentum, you should periodically update your research object to keep it up to date.

TECHNIQUE NO. 4: INFOGRAPHICS LINK BUILDING

One of the most effective ways to push your link building is to harness the power of infographics. The construction of links through infographics will be more effective in 2019 than ever before.

If you are trying to link to infographics, you should do the following:

  • Determine a core topic.
  • Gather your facts and data.
  • Design the infographic so that the most important and important facts are highlighted.
  • Once your infographic is published, submit it to as many infographics directories as possible.
  • Ask them to use this information and link to you.

TECHNIQUE NO. 5: LINK BUILDING WITH PICTURES

If you've created a series of original images that you use on your website or that you've posted on the Web, chances are you'll have many links left to claim. Many people will probably use these images without your permission. You can take advantage of this fact by looking for the people who use these images.

As? Easy. Visit Google, choose the search for images and upload the image you want to search for. Google displays a list of all the different websites that use the image or a version of it. All you have to do now is to contact the website owners and ask them to link their image to their website.

TECHNIQUE NO. 6: GUEST BLOGGING

The type of guest blogging that works includes the following steps:

  • Just focus on blogging guests on sites that are currently relevant to you.
  • Make sure that these sites are highly authoritative sites. The higher the domain authority and trust flow of the sites you target, the better.
  • Make sure your articles for these websites are comprehensive, detailed and of high quality.
  • Try to get relevant, contextual links from your guest posts to these publications. Bio-Link is good, but content link is better.

Link building is getting more and more complicated, but most of the above techniques are still effective and will work for years. Use them and see how your search results soar. Please let us know how your linkbuilding works for you?
